Independent and feature film composer
Independent features carry the most music and the least margin for error. Jeffrey works closely with directors from early cuts through the mix, building themes that can carry a feature-length arc and adapting them as the edit moves. Feature scoring credits include The Story of a Rock, a drama, UCK, a horror comedy, and I Am Spaceman, a family adventure. Starfish is a science fiction drama feature currently listed in pre-production.
Documentary film composer
Documentary scoring is restraint work: the music has to hold a scene together without arguing with the interview on top of it. Ambient beds, small ensembles and motifs tied to the people on screen do more than a wall of orchestra ever will. Jeffrey's documentary feature credit is Wolf Empire, directed by Matt Skinner, about the fight over wolves in the American West.
Short film composer
A short has minutes to land an idea. Jeffrey scores shorts as complete pieces of music rather than trimmed features. Short-film scoring credits include Tenkara, a science fiction drama, All the Way Home, a drama, and The Silent Sky, a short drama.
